五月天
不知道從什麼時候開始，五月天突然開始變成芭樂音樂的代名詞。
我不想去定義芭樂這個字，這件事跟討論阿扁的老婆什麼時候會站起來跑百米一樣沒有意義。
但其實我沒有這麼討厭五月天，我也不否認我聽他們的歌。
理由很簡單，在我心中，那是流行音樂中的上上籤，不得已之中的少數最佳解。
我們總懷念七０年代、八０年代的歌曲，嘴裡老唸著現在的音樂到底是怎麼了，
不由自主的認為再也沒有第二個東方快車或是王傑，能那樣再一次深深地觸動我們的心。
因為這些歌曲，是我們小時候共同的回憶。
但十年後，八年級的孩子長大後，五月天或許成為佔據他們青澀而不可抹去的歲月的一份子。
然後他們可能會訝異，當全世界只剩下嘻哈音樂的時候，再也沒有代表青春的旋律。
這也是為什麼我極度的討厭嘻哈音樂的原因之一。
旋律，是音樂中絕大部份的決定要素，是音樂本身能否被接受的評價標準；
而不是不斷唸著毫無意義，充滿性、金錢、暴力的字句所可以替代的。
看過「戀戀伊斯坦堡」後，我才恍然大悟，也才真正見識到什麼叫做唸RAP的功力；
原來RAP可以是關心國家、關心政治、關心人們生活的環境的，
他們創作，他們饒舌，因為他們對身處的世界有新的體認，有不一樣的省思。
五角–什麼？我還五塊錢咧！他們還差一大截啦。
抱歉，回到原本的話題上。
所以，我並不認為五月天這樣的音樂就是不好，
不同的年代、不同的時期，會有其代表與流行的音樂種類。
像最近英式搖滾不是紅的要死？
被冠上這個標籤的1976，也正趁著火熱的市場趕著出片。
有些人或許不以為意；搖滾的樣子都快被口水淹沒了，
又有多少人仍念念不忘各個重金屬的先驅們？
但，曲風會變，情隨事遷，人們的偏好會跟著時間的推移而有所不同，這不難預料。
只是，當我們仍在偏頗的以為老歌才是王道的時候，
流行音樂的迷幻藥已悄悄地在下一輩的心靈中，逐漸生根。
